Craps Rules Odds Poker
If you understand the rules of online craps then you can move on to the advanced concept of craps odds. Understanding online craps is all about understanding the odds of the game. Since the game is played with a set of two dice each combined number that can be rolled has it's own set of odds based on how many possible combinations exist in order to make that number.
Let's look at some examples: There are several way the shooter can roll a six using two dice: 5+1, 4+2, 3+3, 2+4 and 1+5. In contrast the number 2 can only be rolled one way with two dice: 1+1. Because the number six offers greater odds of coming up (since there are so many ways to roll a six in online craps), it doesn't pay out as much as numbers like two which have lesser odds of being rolled.
- Essentially, players bet on the dice landing on a specific number before they land on 7. There is zero house edge on odds bets because the odds are exactly fair. This makes the odds bet a popular choice for craps players. Payout odds differ between the numbers: the odds pay 2:1 on points 4 and 10, 3:2 on points 5 and 9, and 6:5 on points 6 and 8.
- Craps rules can be more difficult than in other casino games, but once learned this can be a very social and enjoyable game with some terrific betting odds. The Objective of the game Players need to guess the outcome of 2 standard, 6-sided dice being rolled and what the total of the 2 dice will be.
Winning craps odds are based on the frequency by which a number can be rolled. The more common the number, the lower the payout since the odds of rolling that number are higher. Rare numbers tend to payout higher. Note: hardway bets are bets that try to predict not just the number that will be rolled but how it will be rolled (for instance betting a six will come up as 3+3).
This page shows how much you can bet on the odds at every casino in Vegas that offers craps. It also shows you whether they follow the generous 3x or stingy 2x rule on the field. Finally, we indicate betting limits and whether the game is live or electronic.
Below is a diagram of the numbers that can be rolled by the shooter in craps, how many possible combination exist in order to roll that number and what the odds of rolling that number are according to the laws of statistics.
