In between play, a complimentary shuttle is available to transport our guests to our sister property, Grand Traverse Resort and Spa, for a rejuvenating spa experience or a round of championship golf.

Gamble and Golf Getaway

Looking for casinos with golf courses in Michigan? You’re in luck. With links-style courses just around the corner, Turtle Creek Casino & Hotel makes it easy to enjoy the ultimate Traverse City golf and casino vacation. Check out three championship courses at our sister property, Grand Traverse Resort and Spa.

The Bear

Arguably the best-known and most difficult course in Michigan, The Bear is a Jack Nicklaus signature design. Even though Golf Digest dubbed it one of America’s toughest courses (“legendarily difficult,” in fact), the natural beauty of the links-style par 72 course—with its perfectly manicured greens and delightful views of the surrounding countryside—is worth the challenge.

The Wolverine

Designed by Gary Player in 1999, the tall grasses and water hazards of the Wolverine offer a different challenge than The Bear. There’s more room to get the ball in play here, with wide fairways and forgiving greens, but watch out—there are more than 70 sand traps on this deceptive course. Considered “the little brother” to The Bear, The Wolverine is the perfect addition to your golf itinerary.

Spruce Run

Situated comfortably between The Bear and The Wolverine on the difficulty scale, Spruce Run entices veteran golfers with its William Newcomb design and exquisitely maintained greens and fairways. Featuring water hazards on 11 holes and more than 50 sand traps, the tree-lined course will keep you focused on keeping the ball in play.
